Patek Philippe Ref. 3424J by Gilbert Albert

CHF 200,000.00
SOLD

Most people have heard about Cartier’s Crash and have that in mind when talking about shaped watches - but Mr. Gilbert Albert was one of the original designers to explore shaped watches. On request from Patek Philippe, Gilbert Albert designed a handful of shaped watches - all in extremely limited quantities. These watches today have become true collectors’ pieces - adorning the wrists of some of the most important collectors.

The Ref. 3424 was produced in the 1950s (yes, before the Crash) in a mere 90 examples in yellow gold only 3 of which on a bracelet, 24 in rose gold and 12 in white metals. An extremely modern looking watch for its time, the ref. 3424 remains extremely wearable to this day.

This gorgeous 3424J comes with an extract from the Archives of Patek Philippe.
